Springtime means it’s time for the 53rd Mountbatten Festival of Music with The Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines playing at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, arguably the most famous music venue in the world. On stage showcasing their skills are over 70 musicians from the five Bands of the Royal Marines, alongside the world famous RM Corps of Drums.

Event of the Week

The Elgar Sinfonia’s unique concert will take audiences in 'musical time' through the life of Edward Elgar, England's Greatest Composer. It is a story of lowly upbringing to the very heights of National fame. A tale of early struggle for recognition through triumph resigning to a long 'sunset' as a composer following the passing of his dear wife, Alice. The concert will take place on 9 March at St Andrew’s Church, Holborn (16.30).

Music of the Week

This spring, two of London’s most scenic green spaces will come alive with creativity as Affordable Art Fair returns for its 2025 editions. Battersea Park will again play host to an incredible array of artistic talent as Affordable Art Fair returns for its first Spring Fair from 12 to 16 March, before Hampstead Heath is transformed into a creative hub by Affordable Art Fair from 7 to 11 May.

Exhibition of the Week

Following its Off Broadway premiere earlier this year, White Rose: The Musical will receive its UK premiere at London’s Marylebone Theatre until 13 April. Collette Guitart and Tobias Turley are to head the cast fresh from West End starring roles in Why Am I So Single? and Mamma, Mia!
